Students
An objective of the Centenary Institute is the development of the next generation of research leaders through our student program. Our internationally competitive team of researchers work on research programs specialising in cell biology, immunology and molecular medicine.
The Centenary Institute is one of Australia's leading medical research institutions. It is closely affiliated with the University of Sydney and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Conveniently located on the grounds of the hospital adjacent to the University's main campus, we provide students with access to facilities, support and opportunities available at both of these organisations.
Our student body is made up of students from diverse ethnic and academic backgrounds with the common goal of achieving excellence. Our PhD students have the opportunity in their final year to visit laboratories overseas to establish connections and seek placements for their scientific careers. Recent Centenary PhD graduates are undertaking postdoctoral work at prestigious international institutions including the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (New York), CRUK Institute for Cancer Studies (Birmingham) and Columbus Children's Research Institute (Ohio).
Students interested in commencing a PhD or Honours program at the Centenary are encouraged to browse our website for further information and to contact us.
