Which university do I enrol through if I want to study at Centenary?
To undertake postgraduate research at the Centenary Institute students must be enrolled at the University of Sydney, either in the Faculty of Science for Honours or the Faculty of Medicine for USydMP or PhD.

What are the pre-requisites for Honours studies at Centenary?
Students intending to undertake Honours research at Centenary must be enrolled in Immunology Honours within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney and have completed a Bachelor of Science Degree, Bachelor of Medical Science Degree or equivalent with a component of immunology. Students must have a credit average ranking in Immunology and overall credit SCIWAM.

International students wishing to undertake Honours research at Centenary should contact both the Faculty of Science and International Office at the University of Sydney.

What are the pre-requisites for PhD studies at Centenary?
PhD candidates are expected to obtain a competitive scholarship and must be enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Sydney. Candidates must have completed an undergraduate BSc (Hons) degree or the equivalent. International students must have a student visa for the duration of their candidature. What do I need to do if I want to upgrade from a Masters to a PhD?
A student who intends to upgrade from Masters to PhD must seek approval from the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and their supervisor at Centenary. Students must also complete an Application for Upgrade to Doctor of Philosophy form and fulfil all necessary requirements as stated on the form.

What is intellectual property?
Intellectual property (IP) encompasses the tangible representations of intellect and creativity and is often represented in the form of patents, industrial designs, trade marks, copyright, circuit layout rights, plant breeder's rights and trade secrets. Patents, registered designs, copyright and trade marks are the most common ways an owner of IP can prevent others from using the property without the owner's permission. Any IP developed as a student or employee at Centenary remains the property of Centenary.
