Celebrating a prosperous year

In August, the Centenary Institute's Board of Governors, special guests, generous donors and dedicated staff gathered at the Annual General Meeting to reflect on an incredibly successful year.

The Centenary Institute was pleased to welcome the Honourable Jodi McKay MP, Minister for Science and Research who spoke about the importance of medical research in Australia.

Two of Centenary's distinguished scientists presented their research at the event.  Professor Jenny Gamble discussed her work in Vascular Biology and Dr Patrick Bertolino gave a lecture on his research in Liver Immunology.

Three of Centenary's scientists were also honoured for the publication of their discoveries in prestigious journals. The awards for Professor Barbara Fazekas de St Groth, PhD Candidate Lauren Holz and Dr Paulus Mrass underline the importance of the work being undertaken by scientists at the Centenary Institute.
