Christiaan van Vuuren (aka The Fully Sick Rapper), Aussie lad well on the way to recovering from multi-drug resistant TB (MDR-TB)

One person who knows the effects of MDR-TB is 28 year old Sydney-sider Christiaan van Vuuren. He shot to fame when his YouTube comedic rap videos, parodying his life in quarantine for the disease, caused an online sensation. Christiaan joined the Centenary this year for World TB Day to help raise awareness.

Dr Greg Fox, Centenary Institute PhD Researcher based in Vietnam

Dr Greg Fox is a PhD Researcher at the Centenary Institute who works from the National Lung Hospital in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Greg's day-to-day contact with people in a country with high rates of TB has given him greater motivation to find new ways to treat and stop TB.

Dr Kim Cuong treats people with tuberculosis every day as part of his work at the National Lung Hospital.

He shares his experience working to end TB and how the people he looks after spur him on to continue fighting against TB.
