Fibroblast activation protein: A Cell surface dipeptidyl peptidase and gelatinase expressed by stellate cells at the tissue remodelling interface in human cirrhosis.

This paper described the very restricted expression and function of the DPP1v family member Fibroblast Activation protein in the liver. This molecule is currently under investigation as a target for anti-fibrotic therapy.
