Page tips: Personalise your page, thank every donor, share your page URL to all your contacts and share on social media, don’t be afraid to remind your friends and family to donate as they might just have forgotten, once you’ve completed the challenge – share your achievement – this often results in additional donations once they see you have completed the challenge.
Send an email to your friends, family, colleagues and any significant others letting them know that you are participating in the City2Surf and are raising funds for the Centenary Institute. Remember to share your page URL.
Briefly explain WHY this is important to you, and ASK them to make a donation to support you.
Kick off your fundraising by making the first donation – this shows your friends and family that you are committed – it also sets the bar for the amount of the donation you may receive – as friends and family will often follow your lead.
Thank you for being part of Team Centenary and joining us to raise funds to support our scientists and their life saving research.
