Medical Researcher Seminar: Biophysical nanotools for membrane dynamics

June 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Online meeting

The formation and dynamics of nanotubes are increasingly recognized to play important roles in a multitude of biological progresses. We demonstrated the role of nanotube dynamics in autophagic lysosome reformation (ALR) during autophagy and mitochondrial network remodelling with single-molecule in vitro reconstitution assay and super-resolution fluorescent microscopy.

Medical Research Seminar: Gene Therapy for Cardiac Arrhythmias

June 8 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Online meeting

There has been renewed interest in gene therapy driven by an exciting yet modest number of successful clinical applications for monogenic diseases. Although monogenic diseases are a logical target, cardiac arrhythmias represent a group of conditions amenable to gene therapy because of focal therapeutic targets (biological pacemakers, nodal conduction) or bystander effects on non-transduced cells due to electrical coupling.

Medical Researcher Seminar: Endocrine regulation in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and liver fibrosis

June 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Online meeting

In response to these unmet needs, our team developed the world-first human discovery platform to assess liver-secreted proteins (known as ‘hepatokines’) in patients with progressive NAFLD.
