YOU HAVE THE POWER TO MAKE A PROFOUND IMPACT ON THE HEALTH OF FUTURE GENERATIONS
A bequest to Centenary Institute is a lasting tribute to your belief in providing all Australians with the opportunity to live healthier, longer lives through excellence and innovation in the field of medical research.
A gift in your Will may provide the chance for you to make a longer lasting gift to Centenary scientists and the vital research they undertake – more than you may be able to in your lifetime.

A GIFT IN YOUR WILL CAN HELP THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER, INFLAMMATION & CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES
Bequests are absolutely vital to sustain our scientist’s research and our ability to plan for future initiatives. They also enable us to respond to new and innovative opportunities as they arise.
WHAT A GIFT IN YOUR WILL CAN DO
Every bequest, big or small will directly contribute to Centenary’s research efforts as we strive to understand diseases at a molecular and cellular level, discovering new treatments and improved diagnostics, eventually finding a cure for cancer, inflammation and cardiovascular disease.
HOW TO LEAVE A BEQUEST GIFT
Before making your Will, there are a couple of things we would suggest you consider:
TYPES OF BEQUESTS
After providing for your family, your bequest to the Centenary Institute can be made in a number of ways depending on your personal situation and preferences.
To ensure your wishes are properly expressed, the wording below is suggested for inclusion in your Will.
I (first name, middle name(s), last name) give and bequeath to the Centenary Institute Medical Research Foundation, Building 93 Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Missenden Road, Camperdown NSW 2050 and ABN 85 778 244 012 (the residue) / (a percentage) / (a specific sum or piece of property or item) of my estate / (or the whole estate) free from all taxes and duties, for their general purposes. A receipt from the Executive Director or other authorised person shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor.
AN ADDITION TO YOUR WILL
If you already have an existing will, it’s easy to include Centenary Institute by adding a codicil. A codicil is an additional legal document that lets you amend your will without needing to re-write it.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY INCLUDED A BEQUEST?
If you have already included Centenary Institute in your Will we would love to hear from you so that we can personally thank you for your generosity and keep you up to date on our work.
