Donate in Memory

Honour the memory of someone special, by making an in-memoriam gift to Centenary Institute. Your gift in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to celebrate their life.

Your donation will be a lasting tribute and will provide hope to those affected by cancer, inflammation and cardiovascular disease. Investing in medical research is our best hope of changing lives and improving human health through scientific excellence.

You can donate in memory online now.

Donations to Centenary in lieu of flowers at a funeral

Often people choose to commemorate the life of a loved one by asking for donations rather than a floral tribute at the funeral or memorial service.
Organising the funeral of a loved one can be immensely stressful and the Centenary Institute is indebted to those who choose to ask for donations to be given to charity at this time.

In memoriam donation envelopes are available on request, and can be made available at a funeral, wake, church or other commemorative service where people may choose to make a donation.

To indicate your preference for donations in lieu of flowers amongst your family and friends, we suggest including a message in the funeral notice:

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to:

Paula Espisito

In loving memory of Paula Espisito

Paula’s legacy will live on in our breast cancer research

‘I want her name to reach the ends of the earth. I would do anything for her, I just wasn’t able to save her.’ – heartbreaking words from someone who just lost her sister, far too soon. In December 2015, Paula was laid to rest after losing her fight with triple negative breast cancer. Paula’s family didn’t want flowers or cards, they want to make sure this insidious disease doesn’t take any more young lives. In lieu of flowers at Paula’s funeral, her family and friends raised $1540 which went towards our efforts to develop a targeted therapy for this highly aggressive and difficult to treat cancer.

Personal in memoriam tribute fundraising page

An alternative way to give in memory is to create a personalised tribute page, where everyone can donate and leave individual tribute messages. It is a simple process and Centenary’s team is available to assist if needed.

Need help with your in memory giving?

An in memory gift to Centenary will enable you to celebrate your loved one’s life in a meaningful way by supporting Centenary’s scientists to understand disease and find a cure.

Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible and a tax receipt will be issued for each gift made.

To request In Memory Of donation envelopes or to speak with our donation support staff member please contact giving@centenary.org.au or 1800 677 977

Thank you for thinking of us at such a difficult time.
