Centenary scientists win three awards


Three talented scientists from the Centenary Institute have taken home top prizes at this year’s Sydney LHD Innovation and Research Awards.

Head of Centenary’s Gene and Stem Cell Therapy program, Professor John Rasko, AO has been awarded 2018 Research Excellence, while student-favourite and Head of the Liver Enzymes in Metabolism and Inflammation program, Professor Mark Gorrell, has won Research Supervisor of the year.

Meantime, Dr Elinor Hortle has won the Annual Health Research Infrastructure Award, which will help Centenary buy essential equipment for ongoing world-class research.
