Prestigious editorial award for Professor Gorrell
Professor Mark Gorrell from the Centenary Institute’s Centre for Cancer Innovations has been awarded a Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award celebrating his outstanding editorial work for the highly respected journal Scientific Reports.
The award recognises editorial board members who have made a notable contribution to the journal’s peer-review and publishing processes. Professor Gorrell has served as an editor for Scientific Reports since 2014, handling submissions in cellular biology, diabetes and liver disease.
He was selected for the award based on criteria including editorial activity, manuscript handling and overall contribution to the journal’s operations.
Scientific Reports is an open-access journal and part of the prestigious Nature Portfolio, a collection of high quality science journals published by Springer Nature that includes the renowned journal Nature.
